ancestors started with trying to fix our lives - sleepless nights, tossing and turning. We did what people have done for centuries: we turned to the science of the past.
Reading clinical studies on plants and bioactives, we combined things from the past. Magnesium first, then CBD layered on top - deeper calm than either alone. For day time stamina - Cordyceps and functional roots, and so on; we branched out to other areas of mood and mindfulness.
That’s what shaped Ancestors: ancient botanicals, modern extraction with synergy as the goal.

After finding what worked personally, we went a little deeper.
The Americas for traditional dreaming botanicals and hemp. Europe and the Mediterranean for calming foliage and feminine balance. Asia for enduring roots and adaptogens, inspired by what Traditional Chinese Medicine refers to as Qi - the vital energy believed to flow through all living things.
But we had one more step - combining them with modern bioactive isolates.

Using carefully selected laboratories and suppliers, we combine traditional botanical extracts with modern bioactive ingredients including:
- CBD isolate
- L-theanine
- methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12)
- pyridoxal-5-phosphate (Vitamin B6)
- Magnesium bisglycinate
The result is a collection of functional blends that draw from ancient plant traditions while embracing modern formulation techniques.
the process
Each batch starts with a 1:3 extraction:
one part herb to three parts solvent - a stronger ratio that lets the plant speak clearly. Purified water draws out softer compounds; glycerine or clean spirit reaches deeper, releasing oils and terpenes that carry the plant’s character.
This is the way the most efficient way to pull out all the bioactives out of the ingredients - creating a potent tonic.

We're careful about where our plants come from. Every herb is sourced from trusted growers and suppliers with full traceability and appropriate accreditation. Ingredients are selected for quality, identity and consistency before being incorporated into our formulations.
